The Outdoor-Performance Collection from Morris & Co.

Introducing the debut Morris & Co. collection designed for use in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Outdoor-Performance is a versatile range that returns historic fabric designs to the place that originally inspired them – nature and the outdoors. Complete with signature Morris & Co. patterns, Outdoor-Performance unites the two great threads in 19th-century designer William Morris’s creative life: beauty and utility.

Twenty-five hardy fabrics are made fit for busy homes, gardens, patios and poolsides at our Grade II-listed British factory in the heart of Leicestershire, UK. Here, our dedicated team of craftspeople imbue each fabric with qualities to suit them for indoor and outdoor usage. Including UV and water resistance, wipeable finishes, anti-microbial and colourfast properties, these treatments prepare your fabrics for the hustle and of home life.

Most of all, our Outdoor-Performance collection is a celebration of nature, or, in William Morris’s words, “the glorious drama of the earth - day and night, summer and winter.” An uplifting garden palette evokes the collection’s organic colour story, with hues ranging from russet reds, lake blues and sage greens. Morris & Co.’s first printed stripe designs offer an unbridled coordination option, ideal for scheme-building in or outdoors.

“Bringing nature’s mystery into interiors was William Morris’s guiding inspiration. It has been a real thrill to complete the circle and return his designs to the outside for this indoor-outdoor collection. We’ve broken new ground in the way we craft our fabrics, preparing them to keep up with plenty of robust use in family homes. That’s why I’m so pleased we’ve been able to retain the original archive feel of these 19th-century designs, whilst creating a fabric collection primed and ready for life’s adventures.” Jessica Clayworth, Morris & Co. lead designer.

THIS COLLECTION COMPRISES 25 FABRICS. ALL FABRICS ARE MANUFACTURED IN THE UK.
