Pearwood Paint: A True Heritage Hue
Pearwood’s soothing, hemp-like hue evokes the hand-crafted heart of the Arts & Crafts style.

THE STORY
Since the days of our founder, William Morris (1834-1896), we’ve amassed a vast archive of designs and artwork… but we’ve also inherited his wooden wallpaper printing blocks, too. Morris believed in doing everything by hand, which meant engraving multiple wooden printing blocks for one design, and then layering each section of the pattern on top of one another. Pearwood’s uplifting, earthy tone refers to the wood used to create the printing blocks for wallpaper patterns.
Stylist’s Corner
“Pearwood’s naturally earthy tone lends itself perfectly to soothing interiors. It’s obviously inspired by the wood of Morris & Co.’s original 19th-century wallpaper printing blocks, so this colour really introduces a comforting, rustic feel with a touch of history.”
